Why is color management so important?
When we open an image on a computer other than the one we have worked on, or we are going to print it, we may encounter a loss of chromatic fidelity with respect to the computer on which the image was created. To avoid these situations, and to reproduce exactly what we want, it is important to calibrate the monitor, devices and print units which we work with.
At EGM we offer various options for performing color management such as the IT8 color chart created by EGM and Hugo Rodríguez and recognized as an international reference, or the calibration service for monitors and printing units.
At our facilities, all the equipment involved in the control of color are carefully calibrated by a specialized team that keeps them in perfect working conditions, complying with the regulations required by the international certificate FOGRA granted to EGM as a guarantee of quality and service in their works .
Color management is used both in the capture of images: digital camera or scanner, as in editing – manipulation and viewing on the monitor -, or in the output – printing -.
